License terms

Effective 30 October 2026

The short version. Pay once and use ColorPause on up to 3 of your Macs, or 5 with a household license. You get 12 months of updates, and a full refund within 30 days if it isn’t for you.

The free trial

You can try ColorPause free for 14 days, with every feature, no card, and no account. If the trial ends before you buy, ColorPause pauses (nothing turns gray) until you buy a license. Your rules, settings, and stats are kept.

Your license

  • Personal license: for your own use, on up to 3 Macs.
  • Household license: for the people in one household, on up to 5 Macs.

To use your license on a different Mac, deactivate it on one you no longer use. If a Mac is lost or broken, email us and we’ll free it up.

Updates

Your license includes 12 months of updates from the day you buy. After that, ColorPause keeps working, and you can renew updates if you want newer versions. It isn’t a subscription: nothing renews or charges you automatically.

Refunds

If ColorPause isn’t right for you, email us within 30 days of buying for a full refund, no questions asked.

Who sells ColorPause

Polar (polar.sh) is the merchant of record: you buy ColorPause from Polar, which takes your payment and handles sales tax. Polar’s buyer terms apply to the purchase; these terms cover your use of ColorPause.

No warranty

ColorPause is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, as far as the law allows. A macOS or browser update can stop it from working until we release a fix.
